A complex and enticing nose with so much to offer — ripe blueberries, violet, rose, undertones of grilled poblano peppers, black cherry, blackberry compote, warm baking spices, earth, woodsmoke, sage, and tarragon. On the palate, it’s richly textured yet refined, offering notes of cocoa dust, brandied cherries, and a touch of vanilla, supported by a mineral-driven backbone, echoing the vineyard’s volcanic heritage.
This dark and brooding wine is full of aromatics: black fruit, cocoa powder, and fragrant violets with a lingering bright finish and medium tannins.

2021 was a phenomenal vintage and will be remembered for being one of the driest years on record, leading to low-yields and flavor-filled berries. A nice moderate summer with the typical cold mornings and sunny days led to a lovely harvest with beautiful fruit.
